Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

A wintery scene they said, so I thought I'd be amazingly original and draw An Other.
I've been doing a lot of asoiaf art recently, possibly because I have 3 huge essays that need writing before Xmas. If you're going to procrastinate, ya might as well do so by drawing. Drawn incredibly wee on the Nintendo DS. Animated version here. [link] Is it me or are there two types of Other? 1) Original (and best) pure Other. All otherworldly, with fancy crystal swords, flashy armour and speaking some special Othery language. 2) Zombie shambling undead Other, ex-wildling or ex-black brother, shanghied into Otheryness and mindless slavery. This is supposed to be a Version 1 type, about to make a Version 2. |

Shamefully (considering how much of an art fantard I am over asoiaf) I've only read the books once over.

It actually looks cold and the crow appears kind of alien in the landscape because of the red.
Well, as it was said already said there are the Others and the Wights.
The Others are far more powerful than the Wights since those are something like their zombie servants as I understood it.
The Others show up just twice in the book while the Wights are a lot more present if I remember correctly.
But they kind of vanished for a time so they had to pick on the wildlings.
When Stannis shows up they are all like; we have a common enemy so lets team up.
It is sad they don't team up with the wildlings and let them through. It was never their job to keep them out and both sides would profit from it.
